2013 Fall Health Information Technology Policy Internship

The National Partnership for Women & Families promotes fairness in the workplace, reproductive health and rights, access to quality affordable health care, and policies that help women and men meet the dual demands of work and family. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and for four decades we have fought for every major policy advance that has helped women and families.

The 2013 Fall Health Information Technology Policy Intern will work on challenging projects across the National Partnership's health IT agenda, including implementation of health IT at the state and local levels and federal policy development related to both the HITECH Act and health reform.

At the National Partnership, interns are integrally involved in our day-to-day work, and undertake a wide range of activities. Activities will help interns develop skills needed for work in the health policy and advocacy world, including legislative and policy research, analysis, writing for a variety of audiences, and coalition-building. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend exciting briefings, hearings, and other events on Capitol Hill and in other venues around town.

The fall internship is unpaid, but is available for course credit and may be full-time or part-time.
