Consumer Partnership for eHealth

The National Partnership leads a unique coalition of more than 50 leading consumer and patient organizations (representing more than 127 million Americans) that works to advance health IT and health information exchange in ways that measurably improve the lives of individuals and their families.

The Consumer Partnership for eHealth (CPeH), a non-partisan coalition led by the National Partnership for Women & Families, has been working since 2005 to ensure that efforts to drive health information technology (IT) adoption and use meet the needs of patients and their families.

CPeH includes more than 50 leading consumer, patient and labor organizations working on both national and local levels to advance health IT and health information exchange for consumers. It remains the only coalition comprised solely of consumer and patient advocates. The combined membership of CPeH represents more than 127 million Americans.

CPeH has been instrumental in shaping federal legislation and regulation related to health IT over the past decade. As the leading consumer voice on health IT policies and practices, CPeH is a vital force for ensuring that health IT remains a catalyst for patient and caregiver engagement, coordination of care and better health outcomes.
