The badly misnamed Working Families Flexibility Act (H.R. 1180/S. 801) is an empty promise to America’s workers and families, and a step in the wrong direction for the nation. Members of Congress should recognize that it is harmful, smoke-and-mirrors legislation and reject it. Instead, they should focus on measures that offer real solutions like paid sick days and paid family and medical leave.
