Blosmeli Leon-Depass is a policy counsel at the National Partnership for Women & Families, working with the health justice team.
Prior to her work at the National Partnership, Blosmeli worked on federal policy strategy for reducing maternal mortality during her time interning at the Center for Reproductive Rights. Before that, she worked as a Public Health Associate at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the state of South Carolina where she provided guidance to maternal and child health programs. Blosmeli’s experiences have committed her to impacting structural and cultural barriers standing between women and their access to reproductive health.
Blosmeli graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the City University of New York School of Law. Additionally she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a Master in Public Health from the University of Florida. She was born in Venezuela and grew up in the state of Florida. Blosmeli enjoys Latin dancing, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
