Campaign Communications Specialist, Workplace Programs
Alex Nseir is a campaign communications specialist at the National Partnership for Women & Families, where she works closely with the workplace policy team to help advance supportive policies like paid family and medical leave and paid sick days.
Prior to her work at the National Partnership, Alex was a fellow in the communications office for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She primarily assisted and provided communications guidance to the office of the U.S. Surgeon General, particularly its work on addiction and the opioid crisis. Alex is a former freelance hockey journalist and blogger and has covered both the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins. She graduated from American University with a master’s degree in strategic communications in 2015 and earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Duquesne University in 2008.
While still a proud Pittsburgh-area native, Alex enjoys all that the “DMV” has to offer — especially the free museums.
