A Message from Senator Dodd

"After 15 years and more than 50 million Americans having benefitted from this landmark program's protections, I applaud the National Partnership's effort to commemorate the passage of the Family and Medical Leave Act.

The difference it has made in the lives of so many is best expressed by the personal stories of families who have relied on it in times of need.

I encourage everyone who has been helped by the FMLA, and who believes that the choice between the job they need and the family they love is an inherently false choice, to "stand up and be counted" at thanksfmla.org, and join me in my effort to pass a paid leave law now."
