Summary:

Guarantees workers a minimum amount of paid sick leave to be used to care for themselves or a family member who is ill, needs medical care or is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking.

A worker in a business with at least six employees shall earn one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to seven days per year. Part-time workers shall earn paid sick leave on a prorated basis. Accrual begins at commencement of employment; accrued hours may be used 90 days after commencement of employment. Workers may carry over unused paid sick leave to the next year but may not use more than seven days in a year unless the employer permits more.

"Family member" is defined as a child, parent, spouse, parent-in-law, grandparent or grandchild.
