Summary:

Allows all workers in businesses with ten or more employees who accrue sick leave to use their accrued and available sick leave to care for an ill child, spouse or parent. Does not require any employer to provide paid sick leave.

The House Committee on Human Relations & Aging substituted the bill to include the provision that the employer is not required to allow a worker to use more than five days of earned sick leave for the care of an immediate family member.
