Summary: Expands Rhode Island's Temporary Disability Insurance law to include a temporary caregiver insurance program, which would provide up to eight weeks of wage replacement to workers who take time off to care for a seriously ill child, spouse, parent, grandparent, parent-in-law or domestic partner, or to bond with a new child. The program would be funded through employee contributions. Provides job protection and continuation of health benefits during caregiving leave.
