Summary:
Guarantees workers a minimum of approximately five and a half hours of sick and safe leave for every 40 hours worked, up to 144 hours per year.
The leave may be used for self-care or to care for a family member, defined as a child, parent, spouse or domestic partner, grandparent, grandchild, sibling or any other individual related by blood or affinity.
The leave may also be used to recover from domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking, or for work or school closures due to a public health emergency.
