Texas Law Limits Health Care Services for Women, Washington Post Editorial States

September 4, 2012 — Because of a federal appeals court's decision allowing Texas to enforce a state law blocking funding to Planned Parenthood, "[h]undreds of thousands of poor Texas women are likely to be denied a health-care provider because of their state's ideological zeal," a Washington Post editorial states.

It adds, "This is not, as [Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R)] said Tuesday, a 'win for women,'" but "the most aggressive advance in the so-called 'war on women' we've seen all year" (Washington Post, 8/24).
