Domestic Violence Leave

Summary: Workers who are survivors of domestic or sexual violence may take unpaid leave from work to address medical, legal, mental health, safety and relocation issues. An employee of an employer with at least 50 employees is entitled to a total of 12 workweeks of leave during any 12-month period. An employee of an employer with between 15 and 49 employees is entitled to a total of eight workweeks of leave during any 12-month period. The leave may be taken intermittently or on a reduced work schedule.
