Challenge to an unconstitutional Arizona law that prohibits abortion after 20 weeks following the woman’s last menstrual period. In July 2012, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona denied plaintiffs’ request for an injunction. Current Status: In August 2012, a three judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the district court and issued an emergency order preventing the law from going into effect pending further legal proceedings.
