Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region and Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee v. John J. Dreyzehner

Challenge to Tennessee decision to stop allocating federal disease prevention funding to Planned Parenthood. In February 2012, the U.S. District Court granted an injunction preventing Tennessee's health department from cutting off funding to Planned Parenthood. Current Status: In March 2013, the court ordered the state to comply with a settlement agreement for a permanent injunction and to continue the funding. (See the 2012 court opinion here.
