Planned Parenthood of Austin Family Planning v. Suehs

Challenge in federal court to Texas rule prohibiting Planned Parenthood affiliates and other entities affiliated with abortion providers from participating in Texas’ Medicaid Women’s Health Program. In May 2012, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a U.S. District Court decision granting a preliminary injunction preventing the law from going into effect. Current Status: In August 2012, the Fifth Circuit lifted the injunction and allowed the law to go into effect pending the outcome of the case.
