Gov. Bryant Says Abortion-Rights Advocates' 'Mission in Life is To Abort Children'
April 26, 2012 — In an interview on Tuesday, Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant (R) said abortion-rights supporters' "one mission in life is to abort children, is to kill children in the womb," the AP/Politico reports. Bryant made the comment on the Internet talk show of American Family Association President Tim Wildmon.
House Democratic leader Bobby Moak said the comment went "totally, totally too far," noting that voters in the state rejected a so-called "personhood" amendment (AP/Politico, 4/25).
