Summary:
Omnibus work and family bill that improves access to Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) in several ways including broadening the definition of family member for which a person can take caregiving leave, extending FMLA coverage to employees in establishments with 25 or more employees and allowing eligible employees to take leave for parental involvement, family wellness and to address domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking. In addition, the bill guarantees seven paid sick days to workers; establishes a paid family and medical leave program; establishes a state paid leave demonstration fund, expands child care programs, promotes telework and other family-friendly policies.
