Summary:
Women workers have greater access to pregnancy disability leave under state law than under federal law. Louisiana's pregnancy disability leave law applies to all women who work for businesses with more than 25 employees. It provides up to four months of leave for disability related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions. No employer is required to provide more than six weeks of leave for a normal pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition.
