Summary:

Proposes the same provisions as S. 48/H. 1409, but also elaborates on protections available to employees who take parental leave.

Primarily, employers who agree to provide parental leave beyond the eight-week period may not deny the employee the right to return to their job with the same status, pay, length of service credit and seniority, if the denial is not expressly made before the employee commences the leave.
