Summary:
Under a separate family leave provision, eligible workers in businesses with fifteen or
more employees are entitled to up to twelve weeks of leave to care for a spouse with a
serious health condition. Under Vermont’s civil union law, a civil union partner has the
same rights as a married spouse to take family leave.
