Summary: Under Hawaii’s law, employers of all sizes are required to provide Temporary Disability Insurance (TDI) for their employees. TDI provides partial wage replacement for up to 26 weeks per year to eligible workers who are suffering from a serious health condition and are temporarily unable to work. Female workers are entitled to TDI while disabled by a pregnancy.
