Tenley Peterson, New Media Manager

Tenley Peterson is New Media Manager at the National Partnership for Women & Families. She is responsible for building, maintaining, and mobilizing the organization's online constituents and communities. She also works with development and program teams to ensure the online program advances the organization's advocacy, fundraising, and policy priorities.

Prior to joining the National Partnership, Peterson served as the general manager for the Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore). She worked on growth strategy and implementation as well as development.

Peterson also acted as the manager of public relations & public education for the Association of Women for Action & Research (AWARE), Singapore’s leading women’s advocacy organization. She focused on brand awareness, press management, and education workshops and consultations.

Peterson has also worked for Women for Women International in London and Washington, D.C., focusing on online grassroots mobilization and the inaugural Run for Congo in Europe.

Peterson earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University, concentrating on marketing and computer information systems. She particularly enjoyed earning her Master of Arts in Asian Studies at the University of Hawaii, with research focused on son-preference and population policy in Asia. She lives in Northern Virginia with her spouse and two dogs and enjoys international travel, scuba diving and board games.
