Debbie Wilkes, Chief of Staff

Debbie Wilkes is the chief of staff at the National Partnership for Women & Families.

Before joining the National Partnership, Wilkes was the executive suite supervisor and scheduler for Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) from 1998-2001. Prior to joining Senator Mikulski's staff, she worked in the Chief of Staff's office of U.S. Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky from 1996-1998.

Wilkes earned her master's degree from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University in international trade and investment policy. She also holds a dual degree in international relations and newspaper journalism from Syracuse University. Wilkes lives in Falls Church, Va., with her husband and two children.
