April 2014 — Former NFL quarterback and sports radio host Boomer Esiason fumbled when he made insensitive and ill-informed remarks about New York Mets Daniel Murphy's decision to take family leave for his son’s birth.
“Quite frankly, I would have said, ‘C-section before the season starts, I need to be at opening day.’” The National Partnership responded immediately, demanding that Esiason apologize. He did, the following day, on the air.
Rest assured, we will speak out against insensitive comments, no matter who makes them, as we fight for a more healthy, fair and family friendly America.
