In 2002, a group of leading employer, consumer and labor organizations united to initiate actions to ensure that all Americans have access to publicly reported health care performance information. The result was the Consumer-Purchaser Alliance, formerly known as the Consumer-Purchaser Disclosure Project.
The organizations involved in the Consumer-Purchaser Alliance are committed to promoting the use of performance measurement in health care to inform consumer choice, value-based purchasing and payment.
The Consumer-Purchaser Alliance is funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation via The Leapfrog Group and housed at the National Partnership.
